ABOUT US

We Happy Few have been together playing live shows since 2007 and released our first single and full length album ‘Should Have Seen it Coming’ in 2008. Featuring tunes such as Trouble Tonight, California 49 and Borderless Life.

Two years followed with regular shows across London, summer busking along the banks of the Thames and studio time writing and recording our 2nd album, Empty Boxes. This was Ad and Cam’s project – a stripped back acoustic offering, bringing blues music back to its roots, but with their own contemporary spin on the genre.

In 2010 we embarked on our first tour across the West Country playing nightly shows to packed venues. The band was featured in local press and played regularly on local radio shows including an interview on St Austell Bay Radio. We have also had radio play on Tom Robinsons ‘ Introducing’ show on BBC Radio 6, and were featured on Blues Radio UK

Our 3rd album ‘On a Lowdown Track’ was released in 2011 and is available on itunes, Amazon, Napster, Spotify as well as hard copies from CD Baby and Amazon.  The album features the full band and has a slightly dirty edge than the previous ones, partly due to being recorded on a Tascam 8 track tape recorder. It continues to sell well in the UK and the US and features popular tunes such as Rough and Tumble Blues, Whiskey High and History.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’d like to hire us for any event, as we always love playing somewhere a bit different (We have previously been booked to play at pop up shops, vintage clothing markets, campsites, weddings and hen do’s). Although bear in mind we are not really a cover band and play mostly original material. We are also busy working on our next album which is due for release soon, so watch this space.
